Simple DIY

YES! I decided to do a post on CNY Eve!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! GONG XI FA CAI!

Besides busy preparing for Chinese new year, I was caught up in taking care of my two little rascals as usual. They were practically pulling out all their toys and DVDs from the drawers and toy baskets! It was like a war zone! However it was then that I started to take notice of what they have!

I realized that there were many DIY toys! All done by my mother-in-law whom obviously has the talented hands in Arts & Crafts. Being a teacher back in her younger days, most of her DIY toys are learning materials! Thumb-ups.

Item 1: Jig-saw Puzzle

Hand-made puzzles! All you need are cardboards, printed pictures of your wish, colour pens, glue and scissors! You can even select the number of pieces you would like to have! And you can pack into clear plastic bags for easy keeping.

My daughter is only 1.5 months, so obviously the puzzle is only about 6-8 pieces! :p

Item 2: Buttons

This trains up the kids to button their own shirt or uniform!! Any unwanted tops will do! And then keep the buttons area! You can sew up the sides if you are a neat freak! :p

Item 3: Learning Cards

This idea is really simple and easy to do!

:D As you can see, you can write any words you would like your little ones to learn! So for Jovan, he is now learning about plants hence explain the contents.

Item 4: Learning Blocks

Similar idea as the learning cards! But one more use to it... haha you can play the stacking game. Multi-purpose toys!

I am never a DIY person hence I am really glad my mother in law is one! :) Save money and yet educational.
